Hello sajz; PPO is a term used exclusively for Profibus data exchanges in the Profidrive profile; "PPO" is used when using a ProfiDrive-enabled drive as a Profibus slave (from Siemens, ABB, Danfoss...), to set the data exchange structure between the master and the slave (also known as telegrams). The screenshot below will show you the 5 available PPO structures, from the MicroMaster Profibus Option Board manual. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/6586565 This question about PPO between a Profibus-DP master and a CM 1242-5 as Profibus slave has no application, since Profibus data exchanges between a master and i-slave (intelligent slave) are freely established on configuration, both in the master and the slave. To setup the CM 1242-5 as a slave in the master's configuration, you will need to integrate the gsd )file for the slave module (in the master's Profibus configurator): https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/it/en/view/49852283 Once that is done, you need to establish the data exchange configuration between master and slave. The following discussion could help point you in the right direction: See the Operating Instructions for CM 1242-5 for more technical details: Hope this helps, |
