Precharge resistor for Sinamics S120?

disney Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	As I know, in AC-DC-AC system(AC power supply -DC bus - Inverter),using precharge resistor for inverter main circuit can replace damaged 6SE70 inverter without stopping Rectifier Unit. Butwhen using Sinamics S120 system , I can't find any precharge resistoron Catalog. So, whether it means that S120 system integrate the precharge unit function. If not, So how can I replace the damaged inveter and nevershut downthe DC Bus power supply. attachment is asample drawing of my circuit when using previous 6SE70 inverter. and now , I want to instead it with Sinamics S120. Drives_Coach Posts: 133 Rating: (13)	Hello, Thereare no pre-engineered precharge components for S120 to connect or disconnect a Motor Module (inverter)from a live DC link. This function is however offered in an option for the S120 CM Cabinet Modules. These pre-engineered cabinet modules for multi-axis S120 systems feature a copper DC bus along the top of the cabinet and individual DC link feeds into the Motor Modules. The precharge option is integrated into this design.

picengineer123 Posts: 95 Rating: (0)	Disney I had the same situation as you describe. I was able to get Siemens Tech support to help design the precharge circuits. The Sitor fuses, timing relays, and resistors are all available. All you need is assistance picking the values of the resisters. You can refer to the literature of the cabinet units Siemens builds and see the drawings for more information. In my system, I use a simple selector switch to control the DC bus connection to the motor module. In the off position, the motor module is disconnected from the DC buss. When the selector switch is turned on, a timing relay simply diverts the DC bus through the resistors and then after the preset time, connects the DC bus directly to the motor module. It can be done. disney Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Thanks for given me a hint , Drives_Coach. I knew that L37 module can take effect in this application. But in my project , I am not going to order CM cabinets. Well, thank you very much , picengineer123. You really do me a favor! By the way, what is the value of time realy setting normally, have you ever calculated it?
