Disney I had the same situation as you describe. I was able to get Siemens Tech support to help design the precharge circuits. The Sitor fuses, timing relays, and resistors are all available. All you need is assistance picking the values of the resisters. You can refer to the literature of the cabinet units Siemens builds and see the drawings for more information. In my system, I use a simple selector switch to control the DC bus connection to the motor module. In the off position, the motor module is disconnected from the DC buss. When the selector switch is turned on, a timing relay simply diverts the DC bus through the resistors and then after the preset time, connects the DC bus directly to the motor module. It can be done.
