Printing Comparison list in Starter

challenged Posts: 4 Rating: (1)	Hi, We have sucessfully tested an S120 drive using CU320 and configured the other drives to talk on Profibus and run. We now want to print the differences made in the tested drive and incorporate them into the configured drives. We are using technology control, basic positioner and CFCs so there are several changes. So, toprint a list of parameters that have been modified. Not a list containing other spurious information such as dc link voltage, ready to run status etc etc. I can see the list I want on the screen using the 'Modifiable to' tab in 'comparison' but I cannot print or export in that form. The other export formats to XML and CDL seem useless to me. Master-drives used to 'print changes' and this could be imported into excel so the differences could be easily spotted. Any ideas?

RalfS Regular Member Joined: 4/23/2008 Last visit: 12/20/2022 Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	In Starter version 4.1.1.0 from Expert list go into comparison. Select the drives you want to compare (usually factory setting). Then select "Parameter filter active" and press "Display filter..". In this window you can select which parameters you want to display (i. e. enable or disable read only parameters). The new parameter list can easily be printed now. Nevertheless ther could be improvements. To export into Excel just select the cells in the comparison table (same like you would select cells in Excel) and copy and paste them into your Excel sheet.

The technique you've described only works for drives in the same project. Here is a better solution: Open the Expert list for the drive. Click on the Binoculars (Extended Search). Click on the button in the lower left hand corner of the Extended Search pop up <Save Search Result>. You'll get a new dialog asking for how to save... Select the bottom radio button for an executable script. Allow for some time.. and hit cancel for the TXT file it tries to create. A script file will open for the Drive you've just selected. This script file can be compared using the MSExcel spreadsheet attached. Enter the script results of Drive 1 in Column A and Drive 2 in Column B and press the Compare button.
