Problem about replacing CPU928 to CPU948

spm_cpl Posts: 25 Rating: (1)	Hi~ Everyone!! Our original PLC is described following : (1)Two cpus, one is CPU948 (I'll call it to CPUA later), the other is CPU928 (I'll call it to CPUB later). (2)One COR 923C (3)One CP1430 (4)One IM308 (for ET200) (5)One IP281 (6)Four IP242s And CPU948 (CPUA) uses OB10 to Read IP242 counter value, CPU928 (CPUB) also uses OB10 to Read IP281 counter value. I try to replace CPU928 to CPU948 (CPUB), I have read "CPU948 Programming Guide" Page 1-19, so I have rewrited the DX0 in the CPUB. Then I try to run cpu, but CPUA's STOP LED flashs slowly, and CPUB's STOP LED lits continuously. After I check CPUA ISTACK, I obtain error id "WEFES", the meaning at "CPU948 Programming Guide" Page 4-39 is "Timed interrupt queue overflow : (1) there are more then three timed interrupts pending for one of the three shortest time bases (OB10 to OB12). (2) one of the others OBs (OB13 to 18) is called again before it has been completely processed. So, I want to ask What's happening and How can I do?? Thanks your advice very much. Thanks your Help. BTW : CPUB's ISTACK has "HALT".

Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	Hi, You need to adjust the time bases for CPU948. See attached table. BTW, I couldn't fully understand what you are trying to do. Are you exchanging the 948 & 928 or are you replacing the 928 with a new 948 since it is defective? Your CPUA & CPUB terminology has me totally confused! Late Platinum Expert Joined: 1/7/2006 Last visit: 11/17/2023 Posts: 2705 Rating: (318)	Hi Spm, As far I could understand your question you want to replace the CPU 928 by a CPU 948, it is anmultiprocessor installation becuase of the coordinator. 1st off all is the place where the CPU is placed in the rack for the COR923 important 2nd you need for another CPU other FunctionBlocks for the IP and when there is communication also for the CPs.

spm_cpl Posts: 25 Rating: (1)	Thanks Phantom75 and Late. Yes, I want to replace old CPU928 to new CPU948, but the program code is not change, ie download the original CPU928's code to new CPU948. (And I have modified the DX0) Redefine hardware, original PLC1 : CPU948 (at cpu slot1), CPU928(at cpu slot2). After replacing, original CPU948(at cpu slot1) , new CPU948(at cpu slot2). Hope not confuse this time. I need say it first, I try to do replace at spare part (ie, another PLC Rack), and I only install COR923C , two CPUs and CP143 at Rack. At first, I just want to test the CPU928's program code is it running well at CPU948. After modifing something, like DX0, the OBs CPU948 not has....etc, the "CPU948 at slot2" can runs well now. But the "CPU948 at slot1" causes STOP..... I see the ZYK first, so I adjust the cycle time longer. Restart it again, I see the QVZ...... I don't know if it was because I didn't install IP242 modules, or somethings cause the QVZ. We have another PLC2 online, it has two CPU948s and it also uses IP281 too. I use the same conditions mention above (ie the spare PLC Rack) to download program code. After I delete DB1 I/O , because we don't real install physical I/O, Both two CPU948 work well (ie the green RUN LED light).Only different I think, it uses OB2 to read couter, and the PLC1 use OB10 to read counter. OK, I still have no idea why the original CPU948 at slot1 's Code + CPU928 at slot2 is working well, But the original CPU948 at slot1 's Code + New CPU948 at slot2 is not working (Notice, the original CPU928 's Code work well at New CPU948 after little modify). Sorry I reply so late, and my poor English. This week is Chinese New Year, we have holidays whole week, I read this conference now. And I will try it after going back to work. Thanks your read this conference. Any advises, suggestions will be appreciate.
