Tongue-in-cheek Unimog is from when I did work at a truck manufacturer and drove in one of them. I've used the PST with the 317-2PN/DP & the 443-1EX11, so assumed it would work for the 343-1. I have no issue with being wrong -- I prefer to be corrected if I post something incorrect. Regards, Jim

Dec Gold Expert Joined: 5/19/2006 Last visit: 12/3/2024 Posts: 549 Rating: (107)	Rey, Maybe before you try another NIC on your laptop can you try to connect with existing NIC - Marvell Yokun using ISO and 343-1 MAC address and see if you have the same behavior? I might suspect that in your case the socket does not close the connection for real. Also using TCP after you disconnect STEP7 online functionstry to unplug the Ethernet cable from your laptop and plug back again and try to go online again. Dec

PLC LOVER Posts: 23 Rating: (0)	Hi Dec, Yes I triedconnecting through ISOInd Ethernetbut it gives me error cannot communicate with the present interface, I tried to set the Mac Address(address on the cp) at harware config then leave the current ip address as it is the download it through MPI. After downloading I set PG.PC interface to ISO Ind Ethernet. Did I miss something to set? I did also ypur second option but still same problem occur. This thing really strange. By the way, is siemens tcp communication have hardware compatibility? Thank you very much. Warm regards, Rey

Also while you are able to go online over TCP first time open cmd window and type: netstat -abno >> c:\netstat1.txt Wait until prompt cursor comes back (finish scanning the ports). Don't close the cmd window. Go offline and online again and when error comes up enter again: netstat -abno >> c:\netstat2.txt Zipall files and post in here. Dec

I don'tthink thatsomething is wrong withyour NIC (yet). Dec
