Hello friends, today I' ve a new problem. My program was made in Step 7 V5.5 and now I need create a new HMI with TIA PORTAL V 13 for a basic panel. For my project I have a S7 300 CPU 314 1AE01 0AB0 and my panel is KTP 700 with a MPI port. Now when I try to import my tags using Combined configuration with WinCC (TIA Portal) and STEP 7 V5.X procedure. After the procedure the compilation was good,  I can see  my program blocks,  but I can't see any symbol, what is my problem ?

 Hello H.J, actually on symbols table in Step 7 v5.5 are WR_REC with SFC 58 address, RD_REC with SFC 59.

I follow your recommendation to create a new symbol table in step 7 and now I can see my variables in TIA portal V13 to create my HMI and visualization tags, etc.

Now I have a new question, In other identical system that is working righ now the unique symbols in symbols table on step 7 are RD_REC with SFC 59 address, READ_CLK with SFC 1 address and WR_REC with SFC 58 address ¿How is posible to see the visualization on my panel siemens with only this symbols? ¿How SFC blocks work? ¿can you have some extra information related with this blocks?

If I create my new symbols table the memory consumption increase?

Wow! PLC proxy is interesting approach to bind HMI in TIA and PLC in STEP7. I didn't know about this tool. Instead I successfully use completely different algorithm.

1. Create TIA project with HMI and PLC
2. Open 2nd TIA Portal instance and migrate STEP7 project
3. Copy Program Blocks, PLC tags, PLC data types from migrated and paste to created TIA project
4. Compile CPU in created TIA project
5. Compile HMI
6. Update HMI tags if necessary
7. Download HMI into panel :)

If you follow this procedure step by step, i think you won't have the same problem again.

1) Compile and Save the PLC program in STEP 7.

2) Open the S7-Simulating Module (PLC Simulator) and download the program in it. Change it's mode in to run or run-p.

3) Select your PLC as device proxy. Click add. 

4)Before initializing your device proxy, choose your panel from the add a new device menu. From the HMI Device Wizard menu, in the first page that appears, select your PLC and specify the connection (interface). Then click to finish.

5) As the last step; left click and initialize device proxy. Then choose the program file from S7Proj subfolder. Right after that from the screen appears, choose your CPU from the source device bar, but attention if you have more than one CPU in one project, be careful not to confuse them. On the same screen there will be 3 empty check boxes written: Blocks, Symbols, Alarms. Choose both 3 of them. Then click ok.

It works but if you encounter the same problem again, re-initialize the device proxy choosing the same 3 check boxes again.
