Problem in CU240S terminal input....

sparten Posts: 205 Rating: (11)	Hi expert..... i am using sinamics cu 240s.in this cu i am facing very odd problem..the problem is like this...iam using terminal5(DI1) for drive runcommand to drive but my drive is not getting on,,, i monitor status of DI1 in perameter r0722 it shows me DI1 coming by first vertical line (from right side)... i have set xor logic for driveon command and parameter setting as follow: P701=99, P702=99, P2800=1, P2801.6=1, P2822.1=722.0 P2822.2=722.1 P840=r2823..... also whenever i remove this DI1(terminal 5) of cu then also r722 shows me 1st vertical linecoming....means my 1st DI is coming... i am sure that my parameterization is not wrong... now i am not able rectify problem whether it is hadware problem or something else?????

Well Looks like you are having hardware problem at your DI Just to verify, Change your Paramters for Input 3 instead of Input 1 - P703-99, and P2822.0 to 722.2 and if after that, your drive is getting ON then its definately hardware Problem But check hard wire going to DI1 before connecting it to DI3 because it may possible that some wrong things blew your DI 1 and it may damage DI3 too Regards Devesh Vithani

I have several of these CUs in operation. I use OFF1/OFF2/OFF3 inputs. Is the 24V source for your DI1 input coming from terminal #9? I believe the drive 24V supply is what it is looking for at DI1/DI2/DIx. Do you have OFF2/OFF3 configured? If so, you need to supply a '1' signal to get a valid start command to the drive. Is your drive an -F safety integrated model? If so, has the safety commissioning been completed?

Dear huggy_d1 As in question, he said that he is continuous getting High signal (from r722) for DI - 1 and for start, you need to go from Low to high so I strongly feel, first thing to look at change DI and try and Most probably DI 1 is faulty Regards Devesh

timmyLDeng Regular Member Joined: 8/25/2011 Last visit: 5/4/2023 Posts: 29 Rating: (4)	Look at r2823.0 on the BOP and see if it changes when you activate you digital input. thiss will tell you if the XOR is working. If not make sure you have enabled the free function correctly. You could also make sure that P727 is set to 0

Kindly check the control word for any interlocks and configure and check the drive simply by applying 1 as on command on the first DI and then move on with the control logic.

Dear Shahid I think you didnt got Question at all Read carefully Sparten said, Status of DI shows High even he removes cable of DI physically Now what to do with control word 1 for this??
