Problem in Downloading an old Project to a new OP170B with newer ProTool

Genelec Posts: 22 Rating: (0)	Happy New Year everybody! Actually I have also problem wiht transfer over COM port. I hope you could help me in this new year. By transfer ProTool program file from Laptop to a new OP170B over COM1, (the old one is broken) comes such message: "This configuration was edited in on earlier version of ProTool the last time it was edited. If it saved with the current version it will no longer be possible to open it with the earlier version of ProTool" and then I click OK and push the download icon, then comes up System Message Window "Project data being synchronized (Open) can not be routed the requured communcation peer" We have ProTool/Pro CSV6.0 SP3. Could you help me. Thanks a lot in advance Genelec

I have compiled and saved, but by compiliation comes up such message:" Project data being Sinrchonized (Compile) cannot be routed to the require communication peer. Sinchronization error (Compile) Complination aborted with error" Initially OC update has been performed over serial cabel. Best regards Genelec

Hi,

do you have the right settings in ProTool and on the OP170B?

OP170B:
You should look into the Transfer Settings of the OP170B. Is the serial port enabled?

ProTool:
Transfer Settings of ProTool: "Datei > Download > Preferences...". Is the serial port selected?

Cable:
Works yourserial cablecorrect? Maybe you should change your cable.

Is it a integrated project? When you open Netpro, you can see both Panel and CPU connected to same network? Best regards, Wizard

Genelec Posts: 22 Rating: (0)	Hi Wizard! Thanks for your help, it looks like the cable to be fault, now I am working in our workshop, just connected OP directly to Laptop, but before, on the spot, I could not see MP1(which belongs to this OP) by Accessible Nodes. Best regards Genelec

Genelec Posts: 22 Rating: (0)	Hi! everybody After all this fighting with communication setting, perhaps I have done something wrong in PG/PC interface and as result there is no way to install some drivers, namely for CP5511 and manual says: a displayed interface cannot be installed if it is on a Plug&Play module or the maximum number of interfaces of this type are already installed. What could you advise me and what if I just use System Restore, to cure driver again. Best regards Genelec

Please reboot PC but now with CP5511 it will automatically be recognized and installed.
