My concern in this, if my profibus loop has the problem my entire network should get affected. In my case only the Siemens IM 151 HF gets the drop. This confuses me. So thought any siemens personal could help me out. Ah yes, well, you misunderstand one point: we on the forum are not (majoritarily) Siemens personnel. We do try to help other Siemens automation users, but this is solely based on the experience we have with Siemens controllers on our projects. We are engineers, technicians and programmers involved with Siemens equipment,working forour own companies, and are not employees of Siemens. That being said, if you are so certain that your installation follows all the rules for a correct installation of the network, and you find that the problem is located only in certain types of nodes, then you have a problem I have not yet come across. My recommendation at this point would be to bring in a certified Profibus technician (from a system integrator in your area) with a proper Profibus analyser (hopefully a Profitrace scope, from Procentec, ora toolof the same caliber) that could provide a detaided analysis of all problems on the network. Keep us informed if you decide to go this route, I for one would be interested in the results. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

This is a device wich is designed to permanent log events on a profibus. Link But of course it can also be used for a temporary analysis. The good thing is that it comes with a web applet and the data is pre-analyzed and put into graphical diagrams. See this: Link Unfortunately this pic is available only in german...
	"Expert" does not necessarily mean Siemens employee. Please cross-check your requirements always with official Siemens documentation. Also "Experts" are pleased about feedback. AndrewZ Posts: 30 Rating: (7)	Hi, has your problem solved ? we haven't heard anything yet, maybe try lower the data transmittion rate if the configuration is correct (but doesn's look right as only ET200s node drop off). we wish it help. Sometime it make nodes fluctrate.
