Problem in VB Script

Dipsw Posts: 32 Rating: (0)	Hi, I am biginer in VB Script. As per documents in help I creat new script for my application but during run time its work half (like run excel file) but not the data like (hsm_oxygen,nitrogen,argon) in excel. I used cyclic trigger (daily 6:00:00 ) from VB action and call that script. When i use this script when button press then its work but when using trigger it not work (not write tag data only excel run) Script attached. Regards, Dip Have youselected Global Script Runtime in the Startup properties of Computer/WinCC Server? If yes could you check script.log in C:/Programming Files\SIEMENS\WinCC\Diagnose for any script error. regards, rit03

gbs Posts: 178 Rating: (5)	Open, save and close are ok. Not sure what version of xls you are using but 2003 works fine. I think that there are some issues with 2007. I have done it another way without additional declarations.. objExcelApp.Cells(1,1).Value = HMIRuntime.Tags("TagName").Read and so on and so on... Good luck.

Regards, Dip ScreenItems("excelvalue").OutputValue will work by script if it has been called from same screen and not by global script thats why you are not getting any value and script may return with error without any value atglobal action but it is okfor the action on button in same screen. regards, rit03

Dim ObjScreen ' please declare these in your script Dim ObjScrItem' please declare these in your script Set ObjScreen = HMIRuntime.Screens("ExamplePDL") ' Name of the screen 'where "excelvalue" Set ObjScrItem = ObjScreen.ScreenItems("excelvalue") objExcelApp.Cells(i+1, 4).Value = ObjScrItem.OutputValue Ihave nottested the above script becuase I have no acess to wincc station at the moemnt but you may try. regards, rit03

Original script objExcelApp.Cells (i+1, 5).Value =Hsm_oxygen.Value objExcelApp.Cells (i+1, 6).Value =Hsm_Nitrogen.Value objExcelApp.Cells (i+1, 7).Value =Hsm_Argon.Value Modified script objExcelApp.Cells(i+1, 5).Value =Hsm_oxygen.Value objExcelApp.Cells(i+1, 6).Value =Hsm_Nitrogen.Value objExcelApp.Cells(i+1, 7).Value =Hsm_Argon.Value by this problem solved in which cells"space"(i+1,5) I wrote in place of Cells(i+1,5). Are you sure, using ScreenItems("excelvalue") for global action wasn't the problem?. Anyway good to know your problem is solved. regards, rit03
