problem to connect et200u with s7300, cpu 315 2dp

Sulung Bronze Member Joined: 5/26/2007 Last visit: 1/15/2025 Posts: 127 Rating: (3)	i am trying to connect 315-2dp to et-200u, i have 6es5318-8mb13 and a 6es5470-8ma12. i configure 315-2dp (the 2nd port as dp, 187,5kBps). the et-200u have address 3. i make a program to move an interger to PQW256 (in h/w config i see the analog output address is 256..259) after i downloaded the config to cpu, i have bf led flashing, also at et-200u bus fault led light. anybody could tell me what went wrong? thank you.

Howard Wong Posts: 24 Rating: (3)	The BF light can be caused by any number of issues. Here's a list of things I would check. 1) Verfiy that your Hardware Configuration matches the actual ET200U. 2) Verify that the ET200U is set to address 3. You also want to make sure that "DP Norm" is selected. 3) Verify that you Profibus cable is OK. 4) Verify that the Profibus connectors have been done correctly. 5) Verify that the terminating resistors are set correctly. J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, I guess you did not do power cycle after changing the PROFIBUS Address of the Slave, this way the Slave did not initialize with the new PROFIBUS Address and the DP Master did not find the Slave... at least this is what I guess. Best regards J_Bell

I have met with the same problem today - S7-315-2DP does not see ET200U from the network of old S5-135 (LEDs BF light on both of them) - it switched off and I have connected PLC S7 instead of it. I have done the configuration DP profile anftried to change transfer rates from 9,6 to 96 kb/s. Configuration I have done by Universal module instead of 6ES5-318 8MB12 with modeles DI and DO 8bit.
