Problem wirh siwarex module 7MH4950-2AA01

Desh Regular Member Joined: 9/5/2007 Last visit: 12/9/2024 Posts: 24 Rating: (0)	Hello Siwarexi, I have a siwarex module 7MH4950-2AA01 and the LC (i.e. connected with 6-wire system) which we are using with a characteristic value of 2 mV/V.So the measurement signalshould be in the range of (2 mV/V x 6 V) = 0 ... 12 mV. However, we have measured the12V between the Exc+ & EXC- during the Sense+ & Sense- open condition. But when we are connecting the Sense+ & Sense- wire the the voltage drops to 6V.Similiarly sig+ & sig- also drops.So please clarify where this is correct or problematic? Regards, DESH. Siwarexi Gold Expert Joined: 1/4/2007 Last visit: 12/9/2024 Posts: 1156 Rating: (175)	Hello DESH, the behaviour, that you are measuring 12V between the EXC+ & EXC- during the Sense+ & Sense- are not connected, is normally for the Siwarex U module 7MH4950-xxxxx. (The Siwarex CS and MS modules shows the same behaviour.) These Siwarex modules (Siwarex U (7MH4950-xxxxx), CS and MS modules) are working normally with an excitation voltage of 6 VDC. If the Sense-voltage is too low (e.g. the Sense+ & Sense- pins are not connected at the module) the Siwarex modules (Siwarex U (7MH4950-xxxxx), CS and MS modules) are increasing the excitation voltage up to approximately 12 VDC. With the increasing of the excitation voltage, the Siwarex modules try to increase the Sense-voltage over a minimum Sense-voltage. Best regards Siwarexi
