Hi all,

I've got a problem with the adding of one CP343-1 Lean to an S7 300 CPU (6ES7 314-1AG14-0AB0).

when I put the CP on the rack, there is a fault of the CPU, is normal..

I modify the configuration to add the CP and one correct IP address connected to the PN network ... all is OK but when I want to transfer the configuration into the CPU through the MPI bus (with my PG) TIA PORTAL give me an error (MPI address 3 unreachable) and after looking the HW the third MPI address is the CP...

So the configuration still in fault and the CPU too...

I've never seen that before. Have you any ideas ?

its not really clear to me.

are you trying to load over MPI through the CP343-1 lean? this is an ethernet CP.

Try to load the configuration to MPI adress 2 ( should be the CPU). 

Show some screenshots of the behavior for further diagnostics, like already mentioned by Murof.

The version of the CP is V3.1 and in TIA PORTAL the version is V3.0, but I've made

some trying of this manipulation without any problem ...

but with this CPU it's really strange

sure, when I've trying to transfer the configuration of TIA PORTAL to the PLC it's with the

2 MPI address. but the CP have an internal MPI address (automatically 3) connected to the backplane

bus. But when I want to transfer, TIA give me an error (CP MPI address (=3) unreachable). And after

the transfer, I can use the online and diagnostic function (CPU on fault due to difference between the software and the hardware ) and the CP stay unreachable... backplane bus problem is possible for you ?

I've forgot something, I use :

- 1 SIEMENS PG (MPI address = 0)

- 1 HMI (MPI address = 1)

- S7 - 300 PLC (MPI address = 2)

and normally lol :

- CP 343-1 Lean (MPI address = 3)

probably I see some missunderstanding, you simply download complete HW cfg to CPU, so if your CPU has MPI address 2 select this address and download complete HW cfg to it. I don't expect some message about not existing MPI address of CP343 only in case you have select option in CP cfg that you don't want store cfg in CPU.
