problem with analog output in CPU S7-1215C DC/DC/DC - didn't get any mA

When QW64 value is 27648 it should give 20mA but i measured the mA from 2M and 0 by multi meter i didn't get any mA. why is it happening like that? Please help me... 0_Einstein Diamond Expert Joined: 7/7/2010 Last visit: 3/22/2023 Posts: 13200 Rating: (2147)	The easiest way to confirm current loop function is not with a standard multimeter in series with the loop current. Put a 250 or 500 Ohm resistor across the analog output and the correct common terminal. Measure the voltage drop across the resistor (of course, disconnect any field wiring for this test). As you adjust the output, you should see 0-5 or 0-10VDC depending on the resistor value you selected (or had available). The current output has a maximum output resistance value that it can drive, and a multimeter is not intended for this type of check. If you have a loop calibrator, that is a better way to monitor since that is intended to work in a 0-20 or 4-20 mA loop. anku191 Member Joined: 2/22/2017 Last visit: 2/21/2023 Posts: 5 Rating: (1)	PUT A RESISTOR (250/500) BETWEEN THE TERMINALS 2M AND 0 WHILE FIELD DEVICE IS DISCONNECTED, AND CHECK THE VOLTAGE DROP AT RESISTOR WHEN ANALOG OUTPUT AT 20 mA. IF THE VOLTAGE DROP IS 5/10 VOLTS (FOR 250/500 Ohms RESISTOR) THEN YOU ARE GETTING 20mA. ALSO CHECK IF THE ANALOG OUTPUT MODULE IS GIVEN THE PROPER POWER SUPPLY AND EARTHING.
