Hi Dear friend

I have a problem ..... The full profile of the project is as follows and project Run inPCS7:

"PLC S7- CPU 315 - 2DP"

"Monitoring PC"

"Modbus RTU"

"CP-343 (On the plc side)"

"I.E. General (On the pc side)"

As you see in the photoTheIP address is identical in "Simatic manager" and "WinCC" and Before downloading the program via ethernet(cp-3434), I first downloaded "HW config settings" to CPU with Pc Adaptor, Which allows the CPU to recognize the network card, And then download the program to CPU and run but the link between WinCC and CPU is not connected.

Even the connection between the tags is established AND when I choose a tag with Flag it's WORK ....look at the Picture!

In other words, the problem is that when I run the project, connection icon color marked in the photo does not turn to green.

please tell me

where is my mistake?

 Hello Goldtarget;

This might be a mistake on your part, but Modbus RTU requires a serial communicaton processor, and Modbus/TCP uses an Ethernet card. So the settings below cannot work...

Hello Goldtarget;

You are trying to use Modbus RTU settings and attempting to connect through an Ethernet communication processor (the CP 343-1) that cannot possibly work.

How familiar are you with Modbus communications? I am not trying to demean your qualifications, just establishing the experience you have with this protocol and Siemens PLCs and SCADA software.  Modbus (RTU or TCP) is not native to S7 CPUs,, there are much easier channels to use when connecting with WinCC, whether WinCC TIA Portal or WinCC v7.4.

Please tell us what software you are using to program your CPU and your HMI, full name and version for both, that way we can have a better vision of what you are trying to do, and can gib=ve you better answers.

Hello;

Modbus and Ethernet are different protocols. First you have to establish a connection between the PLC and the PC( review the IP and then use the ping command). Then you have to replace the RTU by an Ethernet compatible one.
