Hello matkosi, As far as I know, you won't find third party HMI example project here, but I found one there: http://help.stahl-hmi.de/Manuals/english/index.html?et2_manuals_et_mt.htm Connecting to Automation-System > Simatic S7-1200 Best regards, Hugo |

Brilliant suggestion Hugo... Merci beaucoup
The instructions are for TIA V10.5 - - - ouch! It confirms (I think) that absolute addressing should be used. Also Towsome suggestion is a must, not just a option. The options for the tags / variables inside the DB needs to be set to allow access to the HMI. w |

Hello Matkosi; R,Stahl's ET-208 HMI has access to Profinet, Profibus and MPI protocols. The innovative ET-208 HMI comes with a number of serial interfaces including USB and connectors for different bus systems as well as Industrial Ethernet – all explosion-protected. Simatic S7-300, -400, and -1200 connector modules allow data transfer using PROFINET, PROFIBUS, or MPI protocols. Or the communications schematic in this document (see the attachment): http://www.r-stahl.com/fileadmin/Dateien/download_publikationen/HMI_SERIES200_EN_SCREEN.pdf With a s7-1200 CPU, Profinet would seem a very easy connection. Unfortunately, manuals for comms seem hard to come by in their website. You might want to try their user information page; http://www.stahl-hmi.de/en/products-systems/series-200.html Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

William_B, I am an optimist guy http://help.stahl-hmi.de/Manuals/english/index.html?et2_manuals_et_mt.htm You can also see what they do with the S7-1500: "Connect to automation-system" > "SIMATIC S7-1500" If I remember correctly, S7-1500 was not in V10.5, but their first printscreen show where to open Portal V10.5 Here are the things they do: #1 They uncheck "Optimized block access" #2 Give full access to the PLC and permit access to remote partner #3 Give HMI access to the tag in the DB That's it! I am pretty sure this will be the same thing for the S7-1200. I hope matkosi will give news about this Best regards, Hugo |
