Problem with configuration of slave IM153-2 / 153-2BA02-0XB0 / in COM PROFIBUS v3.3 software on S5 - IM308C PB network

I have a problem with configuration of slave IM153-2 / 153-2BA02-0XB0 / in COM PROFIBUS v3.3 software on S5 - IM308C PB network. In COM PROFIBUS software I open existing project and select new ET200M slave station. There is not corresponding IM. After that I download GSE file from Simatic Support site, extract to GSD directory in COM PROFIBUS software and then try open GSD for IM153-2 -> an error occurred. Question is, how should I implement new IM153-2 slave station in COM PROFIBUS software or could you tell me the right way how to do that. Thank you for your answer. Gest regards Jiri

BeVee Gold Member Joined: 7/18/2011 Last visit: 10/9/2023 Posts: 521 Rating: (91)	Hello Georgio, After copying the GSD file to the GSD directory of COM Profibus, you stil have to read in the GSD file using the menu command of com profibus. Maybe you should upgrade your COM Profibus to latest version 5.1 Kind regards, BV

Sasongko Posts: 87 Rating: (0)	Dear BeVee, Is posible to place more than 8 modules at IM315-2? I know that IM513-2 can accept 12 I/O Module. Do COM Profibus have limitation for amount of I/I module which installed on a slave such as ET200M IM153-2? I need your help. Thank you

Maximum number of modules is 11. Keep in mind that the first slots are reserved, so a maximum of 8 16DI modules can be entered in a IM153-2 station Kind regards, BV
