Hi guys. I am having a similar problem [edit]as azraelwithin the thread Problem with CP341 RS232C[/edit]. Ihave a CP341-RS232 loaded with a ModBUS RTU protocol v2.5 When connected to my laptop (for testing - laptop is running MODSIM32 a modbus emulator from www.win-tech.com - really really basic) all of the lights on the box are out, however when i disconnect from my COM port the red fault light comes on. I am running at 9600-E-8-1. The problem i am having is that the S7 has some requests programmed into but the TX light wont even flash, so i am not even getting a request at this point. Somone mentioned about the RX line not being pulled low? Is there a work around for this? This is on my laptop. the final target device will be a PC connected to a fire system so it will have the same problem? I am not an S7 engineer so Ill try my best to answer your questions..... I am assured that all of the programming is AOK and it is not waiting for somthing else...... Some more information - If the ASCII driver is loaded I can see requests and send a reply in Hyperterminal no problems so I know the CP is fine? |
