Problem with descrete alarms

When I push M0.0 --> assing "1" to %DB21.DBX0.0 and I am expecting alarm text - Broken sensor1 in Alarm window . It is not working. Can anybody help me and show what i am doing wrong ? I really dont know TIA portal v 14 Thank you and sorry for my bad english.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from HMI allarm.
