Problem with downloading project to TP177B

Ash Man Member Joined: 7/26/2010 Last visit: 2/24/2025 Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	New Problem - Since we have bought the TP177B now, we want to use it because of the increased functionality. Problem we have not been able to download our project. We are given an error to check the cables, interfaces, etc. The TP177A has no issue with downloading. Any ideas? Splitted from Profibus communication with TP177a.

Sorry to be all over the board, but last night I had limited success with the TP177A. I am a novice at Step 7 but was able to change the baud settings of the profibus of the S7-300 to match those of the TP. My question is that when I click on the port of the PLC, I can change from MPI to Profibus. Do I want to do that? That would cause me to lose the ability to program through this port?

Ok, Please have a look at this link: how can you transfer a WinCC flexible project serially to a panel? Ash Man Sorry to be all over the board, but last night I had limited success with the TP177A. Do you mean in Hardware configuration of Step 7, in properties of CPU? If you can change from MPI to Profibus, it means you will no longer have a MPI port. You need to program using Profibus.
