Problem with MAG 6000

Hello.

I have a problem with MAG 6000 which is installed at MASS2100. It's installed for measuring massflow of gas(kg/h). Thing is that massflow of gas is zero on the display and zero on the operating panel during plant operation. No current errors but there is one strange thing - density is not displayed only ##### instead of digits. Others characteristics of the sensor are okay.

Yes, the flow meter is two major pieces: the flow tube is a 2100, the electronic box is a Mass 6000.

Did you configure min and max density values?

All settings were made a few years ago. This device had been working properly for 11 years before breaking down. Maybe, it's time for replacement old device on the new one? :))

I checked all settings in 'Basic setting'. Everything is okay.

I have no clue what to do further.

I would like to add to my previous messages some additionals. 

I have made recently the following actions. I took another MASS 6000 ( fortunately, we have one at the second plant) and installed it on MASS 2100 DI25 I wrote earlier about.

The result is: I can see the mass flow on the display of MASS 6000 but no transmission on the OP. I checked current output 4-20mA- negative. There is no 4-20mA.

All parameters in MASS 6000 are okay. NO pending errors.

WHERE could be a problem?

Current output needs to be enabled on the Mass 6000 under current output in the menu. 

I'm not sure the factory default is disabled, but I've run into a number of them that are disabled.

The Ex-d version Mass 6000 has an active/passive selection (output powered by the flow meter [active] or powered by an external power supply [passive]).

I do not know whether the non-Ex-d versions have the same active/passive jumper choice or not. 

If passive is selected, you won't get any current output until an external DC power supply powers the loop.

I can say that output signal 4-20mA is active in the settings. I checked it out a few times. All settings are okay.

we had similar 'error' on display with MAG5000/6000 on water application. We just change dot position:

you have now #.##### g/cm3.

Did you try to change units and put dot behind like this one:  

#####.# g/cm3

Maybe help?
