Hi all, I am having exactly the same problem instead of this last answer. In my case, I don't have any outside resistor. Does anyone know what the problem is? Thanks in advance! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hi quazee, Thank you for your answer. I was answering into other thread when a moderator made this new one opening my topic. That's why there is not explanation. This is the thread which explains my problem. Problem with MC_Power V5 I copy the main topic to keep all the info inside: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hello! I don't know how to diagnose this, please help I use TIA Portal V16 Pavlan1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Do you have exactly the same problem? That is doubtful. What follows are generical speculation on my part since I do not use the equipment you copy quoted. But you providing background to fill the information gaps may focus a knowledgeable volunteer to participate. The problem you face is very possibly with the feedback mechanism that comes back from the drive to confirm that the drive is enabled is missing. The feedback mechanism would depend on the communication method used between PLC and drive: Discrete IO or communications. For communications the telegram type used will be of interest. How does your situation look like? Please be specific. On more: Has the drive been configured to interact with the PLC? |

Hi, I'll detail better the situation I have. I hope this helps. First of all, I think it's important to know that this axis has been working during the las 3 years without any problem. This is an operating machine which worked properly untill this las week. Normally, this makes me think of a hardware/wiring error, but there is no error in the drive (no red led in the drive and no alarm in online and diagnostic) or even in the PLC. So for now, I have not taken it into account. Checking the Technology Object control, I saw the same sympthoms as we see in the thread attached before. To sum up, using the MC_Power, the MC_Power.Status stays "False" even while the MC_Power.Enable = "TRUE". See 241009_MC_Power.Status_FALSE.png and 241009_MOVEJOG.ErrorID_800F.png Checking siemens information, we saw that the MC_Power function must have the following conditions done before. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pasted from the manual: Requirement 1). The technology object has been configured correctly. 2). "Drive ready" is set in the drive (".StatusDrive.InOperation" = TRUE). 3). Cyclic BUS communication is established between controller and encoder (".StatusSensor[1..4].CommunicationOK" = TRUE). 4). Cyclic BUS communication is established between controller and drive (".StatusDrive.CommunicationOK" = TRUE). 5). The status of the active encoder is valid (".StatusSensor[1..4].State" = 2). 6). The optional data adaption (Page 36) has been completed (".StatusDrive.AdaptionState" = 2 and ".StatusSensor[1..4].AdaptionState" = 2). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In my case, the only thing which is not corresponding is the second topic. The StatusDrive.InOperation is False. See 241009_StatusDrive.InOperation_False.png attached. Finally, I see the same stuff if I check the drive inputs in the PLC. See 241009_TelegramValuesPLCInputs.png attached. I'm really lost right now, How could I verify to see why my driver is not enable? Thank you in advance!!
