Problem with redundant HW Configuration - s7-300

Hello everybody,

I'm working on redundant system based on s7-300. I'm trying to establish a hardware configuration. Read the manual, read the FAQ collection for SIEMENS PLC soft redundancy . I cannot insert redundancy cause the option from Menu Edit->Insert Redundacy is not active an this is just insane. I'm struggling with that two whole days .

Do you have the redundancy software package?

What CPU are you using?

Thank you for an answer. I checked the addresses but it won't help :( . Still trying to manage why it doesn't want to work...

I downloaded an example SWR_300 and when open it, find out that "PDM software package" is missing. It this could be a cause?

I have faced same situation before.  after making HW configuration for the first(with Dp slave)  and second CPU(Only CPU).
Open First CPU HW configuration. Click the DP slave and copy.

Now open second CPU HW configuration.

You have to click the PROFIBUS rail connector created from the second CPU . And try for INSERT Redundant option.
