I am using wincc professional TIA13 SP1.

I have created a screen window and I am passing tag prefix for tags in that window using an internal tag. The same internal tag is attached to the 'tag prefix' property of the window. When some object is clicked, required tag prefix value is transferred to the internal tag and screen window opens with that tag prefix.

The issue I am facing is the refreshing of tag prefix property seems slow. once I clicked the object then window opens with previous value of tag prefix other than new value transferred on click. I also tried changing the update time, write events on press/release, there is also one script to refresh the screen window on activate. But it is not working. This is random behavior, only happen sometimes.

I hope my issue is clear. If any one has done anything like this, help is appreciated.

Anyways if anyone is following, I also tried passing tag prefix using VB script. Strangely, following doesnt work and gives error in wincc professional:

Hmiruntime.screens("screen name"). screenitems("screenwindow").tagprefix="prefix"

This is giving runtime error. Similar script runs in wincc V7.

Please help me I m stuck here. And if this doesn't work I have to create 500 separate screens.
