Hi guys,

I have a problem with my script, this script is currently running on a wincc runtime advanced version and works great. but the problem is that I’m want to use it on a tp1900 screen, I have tried everything to make it work but it didn’t.

PS: the function of the script is to export a recipe file in csv format, change the internal name of it and import it back again.

In the wincc runtime advanced everything works great.

When I tested it the first time in tp1900 the export function was working.

The second time it was also doing the export function, its only telling me that if I want to open the file with the "file open function" "this file is already in use by another function".

Why is he saying this? I wait already for the function to be fully ready.

Hi,

I have encountered similar problems when programming. E.g. with Siemens Report creating to pdf, needs timer.

In my opinion ExportDataRecords function returns ready state right after file is created. I think this is case of a badly written function by Siemens. If it would be written as asynchronous function it would be a different case, but it is not supposed to be, there is no way to tell when the file is released.

Reason it works with RT Advanced could be that processing times of a PC is like 10000000 * faster than WinCe panel.

I would send a support request to Siemens and ask for a explanation why?

EDIT: Also there might be limitations on WinCe, like to be able to know when file is released. In that case Siemens should document that and ad to function description.
