problem with the following configuration

Jura Experienced Member Joined: 1/17/2007 Last visit: 3/6/2025 Posts: 69 Rating: (0)	Ha, now we have a problem with the following configuration: 2X modbusTCPIP 1X OPC 1X Named connection (by Simatic NET) 10X S7300 via TCPIP directly from WinCC This configuration requires Softnet S7 Power Pack licence and this is something completly different from upper posts. What is going on? I also attached picture with active communications (one Mudbus TCPIP is hidden) and one picture with licences. Attachment licence_1.JPG (94 Downloads)

Jura Experienced Member Joined: 1/17/2007 Last visit: 3/6/2025 Posts: 69 Rating: (0)	One additional info - If I install just WinCC without Simatic NET and I communicate only to S7 300 I don't need any licence (regarding Simatic NET) at all! Then why I need Simatic NET PowerPack licence in my case if connect 10th S7300 PLC? And for 9th S7300 PLC is Lean good enough.

Within the posting you wrote ... and this is something completly different from upper posts. ... Have you seen the third posting within the following thread: Tips&Tricks for the forum usage? So you wrote that it is a new configuration. So regarding the published tips it should be published within a new thread. If you insistent that it belong to the other thread, we will leave it there. Off course. You are the author. If you don't agree with our philosophy please allways contact the moderators directly. Jura Experienced Member Joined: 1/17/2007 Last visit: 3/6/2025 Posts: 69 Rating: (0)	Of course I write private message to moderator first, but since there was no reply I do this ;) About difference -something different means in my case that the result is something different from what I expect, not different case - I expect that there will be no problem, not that I got warning about new license. Upper post sad that WinCC doesn't count connection, but strangely the Simatic NET do the counting. If I install just WinCC there will be no problem to connect 10 S7 300 CPU's, but if I do this together with installation of Simatic NET (I need this for Named connection to the S7 400 only and I have a licence for S7 Lean and Basis, but this connection is not a problem), then I need a license (power pack) for the same thing. The case was all the time the same, with some changes, but nothing big.
