Problem with the ID1000 values.

Hi everyone,

I also have a strange problem with the ID1000 values.

I use it to count the pulses of an encoder, which seems to work fine in the sense that is shows me reasonable values on ID1000. For example, i rotate the shaft 360 deg and it shows 2500, which is the pulses per revolution of the encoder. So all seems fine until doing simple math with the value, which it does not respond to. I made the program as simple as possible to show the problem. (see attached image). When i simply add a random value (25 in this case) to the ID1000 value it seems to register the ID1000 as 0...

It looks like a simple problem but i have been struggeling for over a day now. So please help.

Unfortunately, I Face the same situation, I can't do any math operations with the %ID1000 tag, even if I move the value to a global DB tag. Did you solve the problem somehow?

The tag associated with the %ID1000 address should be an integer type like DINT or UDINT. There will be a problem when attempting to use a DWORD data type.
