Problem with time period of alarm archive

Nikola_07 Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hello to all... Have some problems with archive of alarm and trends in WinCC 6.2. project. I have set in AlarmLogging -> Archive Configuration following : Under Archive size : Time period of all segments : 3 Years Max size of all segments : 30 Gigabytes Problem is that I can only see alarms from last 3 weeks in alarm archive even that the scada is running for 2-3 months. I can't see alarms from 1 months ago or before... Do I have to set Time period and max size covered by a single segment, and what is that exactly?? Can someone explain me that and tell me how much disk space requires about 150 alarms in period of 1 months, because it seems to me that it takes too much. Thanks in advance! Best regards Nikola

Nikola_07 Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi pinky I can see in that period I've mentioned (about 3 weeks) about 100 alarms, no more, but there wasn't been more alarms in that period. I can see alarms for last 3 weeks regardless how many of them has showed up in that period. Can you explain me how to set that time filter manually? Is that on the WinCC Alarm properties? Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi Nikola, The easiest way to set this filter manually is in runtime, using the alarm control object's toolbar (in v6.0 it's the third icon from left to right, the selection dialog button). You can select a time window, so all alarms in that period will be displayed. The filter can be made dynamic by using the alarm control object's "MsgFilterSQL" property. Filtering will help you diagnose your problem... Regarding the "segment" issue, you can get some info here. With ttaht you can see you must configure the single segment settings. While defining archive settings, take a look at this FAQ, regarding their effects on the system performance. Best regards, Danielle
