I have the same problem with TO objects.

we had some problems in Profinet network, and after that "dead" state.  Only thing help is to download TO configuration again. I am using GearIn functions. If it works  - it works for months, but after 24VDC or profinet problem - complete crash. I tried reset, restart, reset with restart, Enable, EnableAxis, homing, again homing, ....   Only thing help is to download TO configuration again or PLC restart, but it is not professional.

the problem seems to be the error state of the encoder. Contact the manufacturer of the encoder what handshake would be necessary to reset the encoder. It is possible to set or reset Bits of the telegram in Post/Preservo.

Hello, I finaly found the answer.

Since the CPU usually starts up faster than the connected IOs, in most cases the technology object cannot be enabled immediately after the CPU startup. Data transfer (online) can only happen if the communication connection between CPU and drive has been established.

Looks like its not only about restarts of CPU, but if network crashes.
