Problems connecting to 4G

mikel.garmendia Advanced Member Joined: 7/14/2017 Last visit: 4/4/2022 Posts: 33 Rating: (0)	Hello! I am using a IoT2050 Advanced device with IOT2050_Example_Image_V1.0.2.img running in the SD card. I have installed a SIMCom 7600E-H modem in the mPCIe (https://techship.com/products/simcom-sim7600e-h-lte-cat-4-mpcie-sim/) and I have added a SIM card with 4G communication (Euskaltel company). I am trying to get connected to the Internet using the steps from "SIMATIC IOT2050 - Modem via mPCIe" PDF. This is the result for the commands: [snip] What's the problem? Fe_lipe Silver Member Joined: 12/12/2016 Last visit: 12/6/2023 Posts: 640 Rating: (60)	Hello, based on the outputs it appears the card is recognized correctly on the usb bus at first, but its suspicious that the ModemManager claims it invalid after a while. Could either be a problem with missing drivers or the card itself. Do you have the possibility to test this card in a Laptop? have you connected an Antenna when installing in the IOT. One further command you could check is: usb-devices To see if necessary drivers could be loaded. On my HUAWEI Card which is working the output looks looks like this (check attachment) Best Regards! I have tried to build the driver according SIMCOM manual: (6) Compile the driver GobiSerial. Type the command “cd GobiSerial && make”,if no error occurs, a file named “GobiSerial.ko” will be generated. (7) Type the command “sudo insmod GobiSerial.ko” to install the driver. (8) List the ttyUSBx devices by “ls -l /dev/ttyUSB” However at (6) I get an error: root@iot2050-debian:/GobiSerial# make install rm -rf .o ~ core .depend ..cmd .ko .mod.c .tmp_versions Module.* modules.order make -C /lib/modules/4.19.59+/build SUBDIRS=/GobiSerial modules make[1]: Entering directory '/usr/lib/modules/4.19.59+/build' make[1]: * No rule to make target 'modules'. After googling, I found that lots of other people have problems installing linux-headers on this iot2050?
