Problems connecting to TP900 via TIA PORTAL

Hello Siemens Friends!

I´m trying to connect to a Siemens HMI TP900 Comfort, but I´m having some problems. I´ve been searching for it on internet and on Siemens forums, etc, and got an answer but not the answer I was expecting. It was saying that it´s not possible to connect to the HMIs on TIA Portal (via Go Online).My TIA PORTAL is V13 and for the HMI I use WinCCComfort.

What I need to do is to get a BACKUP. DOWNLOAD the program FROM THE HMI to MY Computer. So, if I try to download the backup from the HMI to my Computer via PROSAVE (Ethernet) it works fine. But when I try to use the GO ONLINE button to DOWNLOAD the software from the HMI to the COMPUTER (PN/IE) it doesn´t work. It doensn´t even find the device on TIA Portal. I´ve set the IP on the computer and on the HMI, and when I ping the HMI IP on computer´s cmd it works (pings).

If I just download the file .BRF(via Prosave) I can´t see the HMI program, and I´d like to have access to it. I´ve downloaded the program from the CPU S7300 314C and it worked, but it was a MPI connection.

PS: I haven´t tryed the DOWNLOAD TO CPU button to avoid any problems, such as losing the original problem. :)

What can I do? Is there any solution to download this program and have access to it?

Just one more thing: Is it that you send me on this link valid for all the HMIs or only COMFORT Panels? What I mean is if it´s possible to "GO ONLINE" on other types of HMI.

do you want to get project code by downloading the backup-file from comfort panel

or do you want to upload your Project code from Engineering Station to comfort panel

or do you want to see plc variables via online Connection?

I´d like to GET the project code from de Comfort Panel and see this code. I believe that if I can GET this project code I´d be able to see the PLC variables via OnlineConnection as well, right?

Sir,

you cannot GET the "sourcecode" of the panel from the panel directly. There isn't ANY PANEL in the world that allows to do this, absolutely for one basic simple reason: the HMI doesn't run the project but the related runtime.

The runtime , yes, you can get a copy (go in the system menu and search for "backup") but you won't be able to open it and modify it with computer since the runtime is compiled. But of course you can use an USB pen and with that runtime you'll be able to program as many HMIs as you want.

The best phrase would be that only few few few HMIs allows this, for example Siemens...

But the question is ... Why should I enable this option when I effectively have the Project File ?

It seems a super useful option but from the practical point of view I suppose it is really sub-used...
