Problems downgrading TP177

f_rapuano Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Dear Sir I am working on a system S7-200(CPU226) linked with a TP177micro. Have transfered successfully the control program to the CPU using an USBPPI/Multimaster cable (CPU address #2 checked using S7-200 Explorer). Now I am trying to transfer the WINCC Flexible 2500 advanced HMI Interface to the TP177micro using the same cable ..and problem are arisen. First of all using S7-200 explorer I am not able to see this unit and to understand its address - this is very strange because till now I have seen that even if the unit is considered in the explorer application as unknown , at least is indicated in it the address that can be usefull for setting up the correct comunication parameter for the transfer of the application to it. However the panel is a just out of the box - panel- so I have guessed that its address is 0 or 1 . Have made some attempt to transfer the WINCC flexible project changing the address in the Device settings/connection parameter of WINCC without suceeding. During the transfer the system says that : the connected device supports version '13? of the Selected transfer type , the PC Software pnly supports devices up to version 12... ...so have understood that is necessary to make a downgrade of the image loaded in the TP177 to the 12 release. I am using the tyipical tecnique for the upgrading of the OS but I am uploading to the TP177 an older image (the rel 12 that is in the image dir in the WINCC flexible dir on my computer ). I start the upgrade but after a while the process stops saying that the communication is not correct and to check the cable, connection parameter and so on . I have tried for several hours changing a little bit the parameter in WINCC Flexible but no positive results. The PC/PG Interface in the control panel are the ones that have allaowe dme to connect correctly to the S7-200 ( so local address#10 , Trasmission rate 9.6, multiple master network , USB port ) On the WinCC side in the connection part have specified that : The panel is a TP177Micro Interface is IF1 B ,speed is 187500, address have tried 0 and 1 , Network is PPI and PLC device address is 2 (communication driver S7 200) Thanks in advance for any help and suggestion..I am really getting crazy trying to fix this issue Regards franco

I have seen that the row showing the progress in the transfer doesn't show anything on both the computer and the PLC side, on the USB/PPI cable I see the led ( first 2 on the right side blinking continously ..probably are the attempts to create a link ). The thing that make me wonder the most is that is S7 explorer I don't see anything despite other times in which at least I have seen an unknown item . Thanks and regards franco

f_rapuano Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi My configuration is a Dell LT with WINCC Flexible Advanced 2005(with SP1+HF7) linked directly to a TP177Micro using a USB/PPI MultiMaster Cable ( don't know exactly - for now - which E-stand XX is ..) Regards Franco P.S. On the LT is installed NAV , now have removed it and other antispyware and firewall programs ..but have not yet tested if this change brings improvements to my issue

Danath Posts: 11 Rating: (1)	I had the same proplem here is the solution 1. Make sure all tranfer setting are ok (you can connecto to the TP) 2. Take the power of the TP177 micro 3. In WinCC go to project>Transfer>update OS 4. In the top of the pro save dialog that opens select the image for TP177micro 5. Make sure bootup is checked 6. Click update OS button 7. Turn on the TP177 micro 8. Your TP Micro will automaticly be downgrated 9. Transfer your project to the TP177 Enjoy Petur Bergmann
