Problems with multi-user redundant system

mara Posts: 62 Rating: (2)	Hi all! I have network that include 3 PC's. First is Energetika1 as client. Second is HMIPAS1 as preferred server. Third is HMIPAS2 as partner server. First I created new multi-user project on HMIPAS1 so that project is server. Then I acitvated redundancy option (WinCCExplorer->Redundancy->Activate Redundancy, checked HMIPAS1 for default master, HMIPAS2 as Redundant Partner Server->OK). After that I exported server data (WinCCExplorer->Server data->Create). Next I have added new user with Activate Remote and Configure Remote boxes checked(WinCCExplorer->User Administration->Add group->Add user -> user name=Remote). Under WinCCExplorer->Computer I added new computer (Energetika1 is computer name) as WinCC-Client for HMIPAS1 server. Next, I added user Guest in SIMATIC HMI, SIMATIC HMI CS and SIMATIC HMI VIEWER(so I am connecting to HMIPAS1 as Windows user Guest, is that OK?). On client computer (Energetika1) I created new Client Project and loaded server data from HMIPAS1 shared directory (WinCCExplorer->Server data->Loading). I configured Energetika1 computer (WinCCExplorer->Computer->Graphic Runtime) to load main.pdl picture from server. OK, now I get into some troubles [:cry:] I activated HMIPAS1 server and after that Energetika1 client project but I get next error: "Start picture not found. Please define the start picture within the Control Center" and then it opens dialog where I can choose start picture on HMIPAS1 server. When I choose I get same error. What is wrong? Salma Gold Member Joined: 9/27/2005 Last visit: 11/27/2007 Posts: 1398 Rating: (149)	1) You are confusing the two types of clients in WinCC [:o] Please remove the client computer name from the server project, regenerate the server data package and reload the package on the client. Basically you do not add the client computer name into the server project if you are using a Client With Project. You only do this for a Client Without Project - which you do not have. 2) Secondly, you should not use the Guest account for connecting as it has limited rights. WinCC needs Administrator or Power User rights to operate correctly. I would recommend, as a test, creating the same username and password on all three machines, adding the user into the SIMATIC HMI group and thenlogging on as that user. This will rule out any windows networking issues present.
