Dear All,

   I am new to Simotion controller, we have one old running machine using Simotion D435-2, and we have to original program. I was assigned to change  one axis configuration and some small change of the program. I was able to get online with the D435-2 controller, and did a compare between offline program and online program, they are the same. And I also got online with the controller and save the current data values. but I am still a little concern about downloading the changes. As it is an production machine, if anything goes wrong, I will be in trouble.So I would like to get your advice for the correct step to make the changes.

I have attached an system layout, please advice the right step to download the new configurations and keeping the current running setup data.

my plan is :

 1. load the project to PG.

2. online and save the variables.

3. change the configurations on one axis.

4. download to the target device. (the D435)

(question here: once I download,  will all the variable value in the current running system back to default settings?)

5. restore the variables?
