Hello hdhosseini to begin with, "normal"ibaPDA related sampling time is 1 ms (1KHz), but40us (25KHz) is also possible with certainPADU's (Parallel Analogue Digital Unit). I presume you are doing Ethernet based data aquisition from a PLC in which case a "slow" 50ms sampling timemay be all you need/want (or is the fastestpossible) and ibaPDA is certainly capable of doing this "slow" aquisition and storage. Back to your question: The ibaPDA aquired data is stored in with a lossless compression in so called ".dat" files. These historical ".dat"files can be viewed and analysed with ibaAnalyzer (freeware tool for iba users and VERY powerful). ibaAnalyzer can also seamlessly stitch together a number of dat files and has an almost overwhelming arrayof functions and features to analyse the values, manipulate them, apply filters, set markers, search etcetc etc. You can also set up ibaPDA to automaticallyextract data from the ibaPDA created dat files, store them in a Database (e.g. MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle etc.) and then use any SQL tools at your disposal for long termanalysis (as well as ibaAnalyser). Note that a seperate ibaPDA Database license is required for this though. I suggest you go to www.iba-ag.com, locate the iba office closest to you and get in touch with them to help you with your requirements. You can also download the manuals from there as well as thesoftware(you'll need to register first to get access to the software downloads). Should you happen to be in the Australasian region please feel free to go directly to www.iba-oceania.com, contact them and and ask for me (had to get my sales pitch into this thread somehow ). I hope this helps |

Please check the attachment. I tried to create a very short impulse by the name of TAKT1. In iba PDA 6.18.2 ,successfully viewing this short pulses and archiving. The problem is archiving and analyzing programs are different.I tried to open the ".dat" files with freeware IBA ANALYZER 5.14.0 , (http://www.ibasystem.co.kr/bbs/zboard.php?id=notice&no=16) there is an internal error 217 while opening the ".dat" files. I registered in IBA official site and registered and I still waiting 3 days for their reply.I can not download other version so I think my problem will be solved by using IBA ANALYZER 5.11.0 .I attached the .dat files.suggest me a way to analyze them. thanks in advance hdhosseini AttachmentANALYZER_PROBLEMS.zip (709 Downloads) |

Hello again hdhosseini not too sure what's wrong, never had the 217 error before, but do get the same error when trying to to open your dat files withmy (latestV5.17.7 version) ibaAnalyzer. As you need to have a Dongle to run ibaPDA I presume that you have an "officially licensed" ibaPDA version to create the dat file, is this correct? As before I suggest you get in touch with the iba office that is looking after yourregion. If unsure, please e-mail iba@iba-ag.comand ask them for advise. Send them theibaPDA support zip file too, you can create this from the Help menu inibaPDA (Save information for ibasupport). It contains all the details about your configuration, logs, OS versions etc. and will speed up finding a solution. I hope this helps |
