Can you help me about problem? it is:" in the past, i installed Simatic manager 5.4 sp4 or 5.3 ,i could link from Simatic manager to Web ( HW editor-> Help-> Product Support Information,or another way..). to know about Manual or FAQ . SimTom Advanced Member Joined: 8/25/2009 Last visit: 1/14/2025 Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have a very similar problem.Used to beable to right click on any component in HWC (hardware configuration), click on Product Support Information and that would get me straight to the Siemens Website, displaying the component info. This suddenly does not work anymore. Iknow that our IS department had installed some firewall restrictions, which might be the cause of this. The strange thing is, that I can still download/update the Hardware Catalog through the HWC menu.... I can not find any info on the "Siemens Browser" anywhere. It seems, it's a very simple browser, that has no preferences or options to play with... Anyone had this? thanks in advance, Thomas

D_M_D Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Hello! I can say I have the same problem. I am using Step 7 SP5 HF3 and Internet Explorer 8 on XP SP3. I cannot access Product Support Information from Hardware Configuration (HWC) and also no access if I press FAQs or Find Manual from HWC. It worked for me and I hope it will work for you: Open HW Config On the main menu go to Options Open Customize (Ctrl+Alt+E) At the bottom there is a box "Product support information" with two choises - "Deactivated" or "Via Internet". Via Internet has to be selected Then I pressed the Default button and all was ok. Hope this will be helpful. Attachment Product_Support_Information.zip (138 Downloads)
