I have a Profibus cable with two connectors (6ES7972-0BA52-0XA0) from both sides. I tested the wiring connections using a cable tester and I found the following:

Sheild -------- Sheild

3,5,6,8 ------------- 3,5,6,8

4------------

5------------- 3,5,6,8

6------------- 3,5,6,8

7------------

8,6,5,3 ------------ 8,6,5,3

9------------

Note: ON switch is activated in both connectors.

Is that connection correct?

Hi,

You have only 2 wires and the shield to connect . So if you have connected your cable on A1 et B1 there is normaly no problem.
