How can I communicate with a third party Drive over Profibusthrough S7 programming environment? |

Dear Shatrujit Profibus Communication with third party or Siemens Drive, concept is same.You will be able to putDrive onprofibus network and assign a profibus address to the drive. If its third party drive you have to download the GSD file and install it into the HW configuration.You will be able to putDrive onprofibus network and assign a profibus address to the drive. Get inputs like controlword, statusword,rpm/frequency, etc., One more thing is no. of counts, e.g 20000 counts = 1500 rpm the drive will run in 1500 rpm but motor rated speed will 1440, then you need calcuate for 1440 rpm = ? No. of counts for rpm, current, torque, voltage, etc., for all analog value comming from drive. No. of counts may varied for different parameter, it deponds on drive(reed the drive manual).
