Hello Craig; This information can be found in the Diagnostic Repeater manual : SIMATIC Diagnostic Repeater for PROFIBUS-DP https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/7915183 2.5 Time The diagnostic repeater with the order number 6ES7 972-0AB01-0XA0 maintains a clock in order to time-stamp diagnostic events, statistical data, and topology data. The time format corresponds to the S7 format "DATE_AND_TIME". The time after power on is DT#1994-01-01-00:00:00:000. The maximum possible end time is DT#2089-12-31-23:59:59.999. 2.5.1 Setting the time To set the time in the diagnostic repeaters, read out the time from the CPU in the user program with SFC 1 "READ_CLK", and write this time "cyclically" to the diagnostic repeaters on the selected DP master system using SFC 58 "WR_REC" or SFB 53 "WRREC". The time can also be read out from the diagnostic repeater using SFC 59 "RD_REC" or SFB 52 "RDREC" via the "Time" record. The time reference should be set at regular intervals in order to ensure accuracy. Siemens has prepared a function block based on the preceding to set the time on the diagnostics repeater; you can find it on the following link: Diagnostics repeater: Setting the time https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/15013976 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

It seems my problem is with TIA Portal. I have tried the example S7 5.5 Siemens function block and it works. When I migrate the project to TIA Portal V13, it doesn't work. Not sure where to go from here as I need to be able to use the function in TIA. |

OK, found out where I had gone wrong... The 'Time Synchronisation' setting in the device properties needs to be set to OFF. Both the DT_TO_DR and WR_REC options now work nicely. |
