Mr.Doubt Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	hello, i want to know that Is is essential to configure Hardwired looping of profibus according to hardware configuration means node address (like 4,5,6,7)which assign in hardware configuration in softwareafter cpu must same node address wise in hardwire profibus looping .if we give random address (like6,5,4,7)then what will happen.how we can terminat the 1st and last node. thanking u!

hdhosseini Diamond Member Joined: 1/28/2009 Last visit: 3/8/2025 Posts: 6860 Rating: (1366)	Hi For DP slave address you can select any arbitary number in range and in any order.Just make the termination resistor on at the two ends of PROFIBUS network and for others it shoulde be off (it is mondatory).
