Profibus dp to modbus RTU communication configuration and adressin

mdelna Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	In our PLC (CPU315-2DP) ,communication between PLC and our HOST system (DCS) is done by UNIGATE DP to modbus gateway can't find how is the communication address between gateway .i checked 2 days all program but unfortunately I couldn't find.

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, I am sorry but I do not know this UNIGATE DP device. I expect it to be a DP Slave so in your S7-300 PLC you should have a DP Slave configure. This DP Slave may be found at the HW Config of your PLC. The configured Slave hast some IO, this IO carries addresses which are accessed by the PLC. These addresses handlethe interface to your DCS system. I hope this will get you a step ahead. Best regards J_Bell

fritz Diamond Expert Joined: 10/7/2005 Last visit: 1/24/2025 Posts: 3032 Rating: (1059)	Hello mdelna I'm afraid to say that I can't give you any hands on adviseon the Unigate device either (haven't used this one yet) and suggest you get in touch with the manufacturer Deutschmannvia http://www.deutschmann.de/en/(from where you can also get manuals, datashets,scipting language information and example scripts in case your Unigate runs a custom developed protocol conversion scriptetc.).
