Thanks for your reply. Have you any S7 reference program for communication with S7 and CU320 (common rectifier with multiple inverters)? |

Hi Epro, You can pretty much ignore the profibus address, other than giving it a unique address and for diagnostics. Please find attached some pictures, they show the standard Step7 hardware config (S7_HW.jpg), which clearly shows the profibus address of 8 on the selected Control Unit module However, the Control Unit/drives/infeeds are addressed using the peripheral addresses highlighted. The Scout/Starter picture (Starter_HW.jpg) shows the corresponding profibus setup within the Sinamics environment. For example, very simplified if you wished tosend a run command to the drive (Named Main_Motor) in the attached images, you would simply send L 1151 T PQW 180 Note 1151 equates to 47F in hexadecimal which is a standard run command for drives. The speed setpoint would be sent as follows: L #Anyspeedsetpoint T PQW 182 if there was another drive, then simply change the addresses to suit. Regarding the infeed, you can control this in the same manner. Hope this helps a little. Cheers, Graeme
