Profibus DP with CU320

Dear all,

We are using single rectifier with multiple inverter concept.

S120_CU320 CONTROL UNIT (6SL3040-0LA00-0AA1) is the PLC communication and inverter controlling card.

In our project one CU320 card is communicating with two nos single motor modules (6SL3320-1TG33-3AA0)

My question is as PLCs point of view it has only one profibus address then how can it communicate or give separate reference to different drives.

For the configuration of you Sinamics drives you can see that for each control unit you can select multiple modules or "drive objects". These drive objects reflect the IO associated with each module. for example the Control Unit is one drive object while a Motor Module is another drive object.

These drive objects can be treated just like the modules of stanard remote IO station.
