I am having faults on my Profibus network, consisting of a fiber optic ring with several OLMs, and drops off each OLM are Supermicro softPLCs (CP Card). The network consists of 12 Nodes & the distance between each OLM is ~10meters I checked the installation: Copper cables, connectors all found to be good. There are no power cables or VFD drives is the vicinity of the Profibus cables. I connected up the Profitrace adapter to analyse & found reqular station loss & retries on several devices. Each drops from the OLM is more than 2 meters. In Profitarce Software, what i did notice was the transmission speed, set at the maximum of 12MB/s. I dont think it is nescessary to run at that high rate & this may be the cause of these comms faults. Can somebody assist me? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Attachment4357003.pdf (299 Downloads) |
