Dear experts,

I'm struggling with a profibus communication problem between my Profibus master module CM1243-5 and my Intelligent Slave, S7314C-2-DP PLC. I isolated them both out of the network, and used different cables.

I haven't programmed anything yet because i first wanted the configuration to be oké.

I'm using a Transfer_Area and i'm not overwriting any addresses or anything.

Anyone recognizes this problem and what steps did u follow to solve this?

it might be helpful if you could provide a screenshot of the configurarions of both the CM 1243-5 and the CPU 314-2DP.

Thanks for the fast response! I pasted some pics of the config in a word doc.

The trouble shoot i get on the Diagnostic Buffer Always points at an IO device error (from the intelligent slave). Maybe I have to declare the 314 as an IO device on profibus, but how? Even if I use  a document for the configuration of an intelligent slave from Siemens he still gives an error.

Today i also tested the MPI over the profibus network and the PC could read all the components with PG/PC interface. Tested the firmware also and is all oké.

I think i'm missing something, probably something small...

Any suggestions for a new set up are welcome.

I solved the problem by adding OB82 to both of the CPU's software. Somehow he's now running through without any errors. If someone has a good explanation for this, feel free to react. 

After this I had a little error, solved that by adding a little program I -> O / O -> I moves.
