Profibus IO words combined to into FB

maartendel Posts: 8 Rating: (2)	Hi all, I have a drive on profibus with 10 input words and 2 output word. I wrote an FB with the 10 words on input and the 2 words on output. Can I combine the input to one? lets say. You have to start there and take 20 byte down? Thanks in advance. Regards

Regards Your comment : [I]Can I combine the input to one?[/I] is somewhat confusing. Do you mean you want to do a block move of 20 bytes from the input image to a DB array of 20 bytes? Why not simply use the data directly - unless you need to forward it as a group of data elsewhere.

Is there a possibility to just type in the first word and then say, go 20 bytes down ??? See attachment. It's just stupid to fill in the same and same all over again. When I have 10 drives with each 10 input words than I have to do alot of copy-paste-edit which is boring, time-consuming, sleep-promoting and not transparant. For S7-1200, you can use fieldread or peek to loop through the input image for 20 bytes and map to your data. Maybe this forum thread will help further: /tf/WW/en/Posts/79849
