Profibus master-slave communication between 2 CPU's in a multi-project

I am trying to setupmaster-slave IO-based communication in a multi-project.
In the final project i have a master with 5 slave CPU's.

In the test situation i use just a master with one slave:
CPU1=S7-319-3PN/DP, CPU2=S7-315-2DP

If i try this connection in a single projectthere is no problem but in the multi-project configuration i can't get them connected.

I have a profibus-wide(1) subnet with both cpu's connected. Both local profibus networks have the same name/subnet id.

When iadd the slave-CPU in the hardware configuration of the master (as configured stations/CPU 31X) there is no slave available to connect to !? The software knows the other CPU is on the same profibus since i can't add another IO-slave with the DP-address of 2nd CPU.

Is it possible to have communication Master-Slave between 2 CPU's (both onboard DP-ports)
in a multi-project ? Has anyone experience with this ?

Hi there. I know this is an old post, but, I want to ask if if anyone could help me. I need to connect 2 S7-300 CPU stations in Master-slave configuration: CPU 315-2DP as master, and CPU 312C, via CP 342-5 Profibus communication processor.

So, my goal is to measure speed by means of high speed counter on CPU 312C and to send this data to master CPU 315-2DP, so it can governor speed of small 3-phase generator. I use experimental platform, where 3-phase AC motor, driven by  VFD drives generator.

So, I'd be greatfull if someone has any clue how should I configure such STEP7 project. Thanks. Best regards.

To create a Profibus data exchange configuration between a CPU 315-2DP master and a CP 342-5 slave, follow the step-by-step example below (and change the CPUs for the ones you are actually working with in HWConfig):

There are 2 samples in the link, one using no data consistency, the other using SFC 14 and SFC 15 for data consistency.; I suggest you start with the first one, no consistency, so you learn how to access each data individually.

Once the project is ready to work, in the program of the slave copy the encoder data you want to transfer to the master to one of the output areas configured in the slave; the master will receive the data in its corresponding input area.
