Hello halker; Your question raises an interesting problem. One possible solution could be found in this FAQ, What master/slave communication options are available on PROFIBUS DP? One of the configurations discussed (4th before last in the list) shows how to connect 2 S7-300CPUs as master and slave, even though they are configured in different projects. This is a similar situation as you are descrbing. That implies settng the slave configuration and data exchange in the slave CPU (your S7-300, programmed with Step 7 "classic"), downloading the configuration to the S7-300. Then you would continue by importing a gsd for the S7-300 in the Profibus configurator of the master (your S7-1200, programmed with TIA portal, duplicating the previously configureddata exchanges for the slave in TIA Portal, and finally setting the master data exchange in the S7-1200 The steps are described in the specific FAQ for this application, id 19449428: Master-slave connection between two CPUs in different projects Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
