Walid Elshazly Posts: 100 Rating: (0)	Hi , I want to know if the Profibus Optical link module OLM is general purpose usageand can be used for any profibus network ( I want to use it with Omron Profibus ) ?? or it only usable with Siemens only ?? also ,if i can use it with my Omron profibus network , the selected module is : SIMATIC NET OLM / G11-1300 V4.0 , Is this cable ( Loose Tube Single Jacket Single Armor ) suitable for the OLM / G11-1300 V4.0 optical network??

As described in the above posted manual (chapter 2.1 and 4.1) to the OLM, you need multimode glas fibre 50/125um or 62,5/125um). When I found the right link, the possible fibres for this cable are found here: http://www.superioressex.com/uploadedFiles/Communications_Cable/Products/spsx-comm-product-catalog.pdf in chapter J-5. I wouldn't say you "need" multi mode glass fiber, but rather than you can use itwith the OLM-G1x-1300. If you need to cover a large distance though (>10km between OLM's), you'd use the dearer single mode glass fiber (10/125 or 9/125 μm) with the OLM-G1x-1300. As Rated X said that though, chapter 2.1 and 4.1 of the OLM manual will give you all the details on this.

Walid Elshazly Posts: 100 Rating: (0)	Ok , As Fritz Adviced me , I am going to use single mode fiber optic cable , becouse it will be used for OSP application , it will be installed with underground Conduit for 4000 meters From the catalog that Rated-X mentioned my client told me that he have stock from this P.N :120063T01 shown in page C-10. Could you advice me if this P.N suitable or not ??
