Profibus problem-network "crack"

luciferC4 Bronze Member Joined: 1/25/2006 Last visit: 1/30/2025 Posts: 257 Rating: (60)	Hello everyone, I have profibus network with CPu315-2DP as master and 16 IO devices as slaves (CT drivers, Turck IO devices and PAC3200). This system have worked since 5 years ago and I haven't got problem like this where in the moment network stop to work, BF led on CPU flash and all devices have red bus led. Earlier, sometimes one or two device didn't responde, but I can find where is problem. Now, All devices don't responde in the moment. In diagnostic buffer I can't see any usefull information to solve problem. In this case, I do reset of PLC, after that all devices work but after start machine, few minutes later, network is broken.At the end of last year, I perform update of firmware of PLC (from V2.0 to V2.6). This is for information.. Can someone have idea where is the problem or how can I findcause of " crack" profibis network.

Profibus modules in the CT have good connection to mother board. Do you have all the Fault OB regarding profibus error in your PLC, the PLC stays in run mode? That makes it easy to read in the diagnostic what node is maybe the cause. Best thing to do is get someone with Profibus Analyser to check your network, if it fails that often it must be detected.
