PROFIBUS SOFTNET LICENSE ERROR

Befor formatting i have taken the screenshots of automation license manager. See the attachments license3,license4. After formating the IPC using restore dvd, I have installed simatic net 2006, after that contract license automaticly get installed. But now am getting error pop up --see attachment NET OPC PROBLEM. Am sure that before formating license under C drive was corrupted(see the status of license in attach.license3), but we were not getting any error pop up at that time. 	Last edited by: vipz at: 11/8/2012 7:14 PM ONE MORE THING, HERE IN IPC CP 5611 IS USED TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE PLC VIA PROFIBUS. IN PANEL, THE OEM INSTALLED THIRD PARTY SCADA WHICH IS COMMUNICATING VIA SIMATIC-PCM CONFIGURATION. ( OPC AND CP 5611 IS CONFIGURED IN HARDWARE CONFIGURATION OF SIMATIC NCM BACKUP) With Best Regards VIPZ

Rated X Posts: 1547 Rating: (129)	Hello, the license will be delivery via Disk or USB disk. You have to save it before you format the hard disk. Did you remove the license from disk before you formatted the hard disk? If not then you have deleted the license. For recovery you need the -with the product delivered- license paper with Siemens Logo on it and you need to call the mentioned authorization hotline for replace the license. If you have removed the license successful, then it was not corrupted, because this will be checked during transfer. Did you install the license in same location? Have you got any error message? If you select the license you can let the license manager check the license with right mouse click.

But befor formatting, i have checked the STATUS OF LICENSE in ALM. Apart from contract license, all other license were corrupted. please see the attachment in my first post. After formatting , i have re-installed simatic net 2006, after that contract license automaticaly recovered. but i dont know why am getting the POP UP ERROR-- SIMATIC NET PROFIBUS SOFTNET - S7 EDITION 2006 V6.4.(screen shot is there in first post) May i know, which software require this license?? Am attaching the backup program herewith, please chek and suggest what are the software required for running this program.. Rated X Posts: 1547 Rating: (129)	Hello vipz, you have recovered the configuration and your system will work, but you haven’t recovered the license. The Pop up reports, that the SOFTWARE License is missed. The Software license is the COPY PROTECTION of the software. You need a license per used product/per PC. So you lost this license by formatting the PC. For this you MUST contact the SIMATIC Authorization HOTLINE for recovering the SOFTWARE license. We can't help you in this case, because your configuration is fine, only the license is missed.Please refer the link posted from dchartier:How can you recover defective licenses and authorizations?
